Director of Sales and Marketing

Summary:

KacKam is hiring for its portfolio company Little Kamper that is pioneering a large scale 1-lb propane cylinders exchange service in North America.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Sales and Marketing Leader. This position oversees the development and implementation of a complete marketing and sales campaign for a 1lb propane cylinder exchange program. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our business by developing and executing sales and marketing plans. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to leverage their expertise to help our product to unlock its full potential and achieve remarkable growth.

The selected individual will develop, plan, implement, and manage sales and marketing strategies and tactics to grow market share and revenue in accordance with our organization’s goals and objectives. That person will develop and implement the go-to market strategies and recruit, lead and direct a sales team to achieve sales and profit targets. Furthermore, a successful candidate will collaborate in the development of sales strategies and forecast volumes with the executive team.

This person plays a key role within our organization and will collaborate with members of the Executive management team to determine sales objectives and develop programs to achieve organizational goals.

The ideal candidate has hands-on sales experience leading a team in a multi-state region and managing marketing strategies and tactics, sales lead development, quota management, pipeline management, budget management, strategic and tactical planning, process development, and sales and product training. In addition, the ideal candidate has a proven track record of building and leading a highly motivated and productive Sales and Marketing team.

Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets set by the Company, lead marketing initiatives to meet the business goals and promote, create, and maintain the Company’s competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Collaborate with executive management team in setting sales strategies with team members.

Develop sales forecasts and annual expense budgets for the Company. Study the competitive market as it relates to sales, including pricing strategy, new product introduction and staff changes. Gain knowledge of organization’s market share and communicate metrics to upper management.

Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies and tactics for achieving sales goals and business objectives through multi-media outreach to all groups of consumers.

Create compelling marketing materials, including website content, case studies, thought leadership articles, and industry insights.

Conduct market research to identify customers, their purchase motivation points, and develop value propositions.

Collaborate with the leadership team to establish ambitious sales targets and devise strategies to achieve them. Continuously monitor sales performance, analyze data, and provide regular reports on progress and forecasts.

Provide overall direction for the Sales and Marketing efforts in executing business plans and meeting targeted sales for the respective regions, product lines, market segments, and sales channels.

Prepare forecasts and reports to identify progress toward goals and to manage day-to-day sales and marketing operations. Update, monitor, and report to the Executive team on accomplishments toward sales goals and plans on an ongoing basis.

Formulate and manage the sales and marketing budgets. Work with the Executive team to define and set the sales quotas and compensation plans that align with the budget.

Ensure that incentive/compensation plans are in alignment with Company plans and business strategies, including the development of sales promotions and incentives to increase sales and improve performance.

Communicate with consumer groups and coordinate brand promotional education efforts.

Measure and analyze marketing and sales campaign performance, optimizing strategies based on data-driven insights.

Monitor, measure and evaluate brand awareness and recognition as a leading indicator of sales.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field and minimum 5 years of proven sales and marketing leadership experience; or a level of education that, together with experience and training, enables the applicant to demonstrate the required knowledge and experience. Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, and resource allocation).

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with key decision makers.

Analytical mindset, utilizing data to drive informed sales and marketing decisions.

Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms.

Proven sales leadership in all aspects of sales account development, management, training, and closing. Strong track record of achieving results individually and through the leadership of others.

Excellent communication skills, with the capability of articulating the Company’s ongoing strategic product/market vision to customers.

Strong organizational skills and ability to drive changes within the Sales and Marketing organization to meet evolving business needs.

A track record of successfully managing the marketing and sales rollout of new products.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and Company staff.

Experience utilizing a variety of sales and marketing tools in the sales process.

Experience with new product brand development using social media as a part of integrated marketing and sales campaign.

Familiarity and knowledge of national retailers, experience with consumer-packaged goods and e-commerce is preferred.

Compensation:

Base salary $80,000 to $120,000 per year.

Bonus up to 50% of the base salary.
